Automated Home Biz - Real Case Study

I have been asked to give my opinion on Automated Prospecting Systems in combination with a home biz. Thinking back I know I have been asked a lot of questions regarding different systems that claimed to be "1oo% automated". Some of the system I was asked about I knew from before. Some I had a look and even a test run from time to time.
And mostly I had to answer that Yes, the system worked .... if you worked it. And with that I mean that 100 % automation don`t exist ...... or do it?
Anyway, talking to these frustrated members I had e feeling of where to real problem was.
And that is where most fail .... even many with years of experience in Home Based Internet Business.
And that is advertising and marketing. The most important part of ANY system is to have a large volume of visitors / prospects looking at what you have to offer. Depending of the quality of the system and also the "quality" of the prospects / visitors you need a great number of people looking at what you have to offer to generate just one signup.
If the visitors / prospects are not targeted fewer will purchase or join. If the system is well working and the visitors / prospects targeted you could be lucky if 1 of 100 joined.
Sure, with a high quality system with good ad copy and highly targeted visitors / prospect and a lot of personal follow up from you the numbers can be much higher. I have see 25% and above in some cases.
But for most there are just not enough people looking at your offer on a daily basis.
So I had a look true my own portfolio and had a closer look at programs I was doing and the prospecting systems they used. Most of them are ok but one needs to put people in front of them to get sales or signups.
As I mainly use targeted traffic from search engines that I send to a capture page to get their contact info and us my own follow up systems I did couldn't be sure how well the included prospecting systems worked so I singeled out one of the systems / companies for a test.
This is a company that I have been in for over a year and hardly touch since it`s doing well for me on it`s own. I immediately noticed that they had made several changes to the prospecting part of the system and there was a nice fresh look to it. I spent a couple of days going true all parts of it in detail. I also signed up as a prospect to see it from both ends. I was very impressed with how it performed.

I also noticed that they now offered to do the marketing for you. One can purchase a mailing to people that have requested information on Hame Based Business. So I decided to do a live test of this. I`m always skeptical to offerings on mailings and payed for traffic but with everything else looking so good maybe they also did good advertising for you.
So I bought a mailing to 500 000 people. To my big surprise prospects started coming to my site after a few minutes .... and just poured in. In 24 hours I had 375 new prospects. I received a notification email for each of them and I could track them in my back office. The marketing system has a very good tracking and I can see when they visited the free tour and what links they visited. With this information in hand its easy to do personal followups as well.
But in this case and for this test I decided to let the system do the work. The prospects also received emails when new prospects started the tour and where placed below them.
A couple sent me an email asking some simple questions like "if this was a real deal?" and "can we make money with this?"
And after only about 10 hours the first person upgraded. Normally prospects receive several followup emails before joining so this was very positive. So I`m positive that in the following two weeks several prospects will upgrade to members. In this test there where almost to many coming in at once. If one is to do personal followups it would have been to busy. So I`m going to let the system do the initial work and when I receive email that some is visiting the free tour again I will followup on them. They are what I would call "Hot Prospects" .
A quick check in the Back Office tells me that there are several that have visited the free tour both 2 and 3 times already. This is because they receive email that new members are placed below them all the time.
My conclusion so far is that this is as close to 100% automated system one can which for. Buying marketing jump start everything and you can learn while you earn. I always recommend people to invest both time and money to start any Home Based Business. It`s like a good investment that will pay you again and again for a long long time.
